Ronald R. Carroll, passed away peacefully at his home in Jeffersonville on Nov. 14, 2025. He was 90 years old.
Carroll was president of Citizens Bank & Trust Co., Jeffersonville, through its name changes to Commerce America Banking Company and INB Banking Company, and mergers with NBD Bank NA, Gary; and ultimately Chase Bank, New York. He retired at the end of a 50-year career as regional president for Chase in southern Indiana.
Carroll served in the U.S. Armed Forces and graduated from finance school. He was active with the IBA, American Bankers Association, Jefferson Elks Club, the Knights of Columbus and the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Geraldine; nine children; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Diabetes Association, both of which were meaningful to his family, or to Hosparus Health, which provided care to Carroll in his final days.
