Congresswoman Houchin served on the U.S. House Financial Services Committee in 2023-24. Before being elected to the House in November 2022, she served in the Indiana State Senate and was a small business owner operating a communications firm focused on helping law enforcement communicate the work they do. Houchin earned a bachelor's degree from Indiana University and a master's degree from George Washington University.
