Harold Lewis Duncan passed away July 7. He was 85 years old.
Duncan joined First Federal Savings Bank, Evansville, in 1964 after earning a degree from American Savings and Loan Institute. He worked his way up the ranks until he was named president of the bank in 1990. Harold served as president until he retired from the bank as CEO in July 2004.
He continued to consult with the bank board for many years after retiring. Duncan was also president of the American Savings and Loan Institute in 1972-73 and a member of the Indiana Bankers Association’s 40 Year Club.
Outside the bank, he was a member of a number of community and civic organizations including the VFW Auxiliary, and a founder and coach for South Baseball League.
Duncan is survived by his wife, four children, nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons and a brother.
