Women leaders driving State Bank’s growth

State Bank, Brownsburg, has hired and promoted 10 women into positions of significant leadership within the bank.

Gretchen Patterson
Patterson

Executive Vice President Gretchen Patterson has been appointed to also serve as the bank’s first chief strategy officer. In her expanded role, Patterson will lead new product development, strengthen project management discipline, and optimize systems and processes to improve efficiency and scalability. A lifelong banker, she has 30 years of experience in the industry, including nearly 13 years with State Bank.

Renee Hargraves
Hargraves

Renee Hargraves has been promoted to senior vice president, director of operations. In her expanded position, she will drive the efficiency, accuracy and strategic growth of the bank’s core business, including oversight of both loan and deposit operations. She has been with the bank for more than 20 years, including time in retail operations and Treasury management. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.

The bank announced eight other new hires and promotions:

  • Kelly Padfield has been promoted to assistant vice president, commercial administration manager.
  • Megan Collins has joined the bank as a branch manager.
  • Ashley Gavala has been promoted to branch manager.
  • Michelle Grady has been promoted to mortgage sales manager.
  • Rachel Horn has been promoted to branch manager.
  • Sheila Cook has been promoted to retail operations officer.
  • Ava Smith has been promoted to assistant branch manager.
  • Courtnee Birdsong has been promoted to mortgage processor assistant.
