Philip Kenney passed away March 22. He was 65 years old.
Kenney served on the board of GBC Bank, Greenfield, from 2022-25. By trade, he worked at his family’s company, F.A. Wilhelm Construction, starting as a laborer in the yard and working his way up to president of Frietag-Weinhardt Inc. and eventually president of Wilhelm for a quarter-century.
Kenney also served on the boards of Wabash College, where he was later named an honorary alumnus; the American Heart Association; the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra; Heartland Film; and more.
He is survived by his wife, five children and 10 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wabash College or your favorite local arts organization.
