JR Mitchell has been promoted to vice president-commercial lending for North Salem State Bank. He has been with the bank since 2020, most recently serving as a commercial lender.
Before joining the banking industry, Mitchell worked at Allison Transmission for 13 years. He serves as vice president of the Boone County Senior Services Foundation Board and vice president of the Boone County mentoring Partnership Board.
Mitchell holds an associate degree and a technical certificate from Ivy Tech Community College, has completed the IBA’s Midwest Agricultural Banking School, the Barrett School of Banking Commercial Lending Academy and the Paul W. Barrett Jr. Graduate School of Banking.
