Grant Whaley, chairman & CEO of Farmers & Merchants Bank, Boswell, retired from the bank effective March 1. He will continue to serve on the bank’s board of directors.
Whaley worked in the industry for 28 years, including 20 with Farmers & Merchants. He served on the boards of the IBA Service Corp. and IBA Insurance Services, as well as the IBA Ag Banking Committee and the board of the Indiana Grain Indemnity Corporation.
Outside of his professional accomplishments and service, he helped coach soccer, little league baseball and AAU basketball for several years. He also served on the board of the Benton Community Foundation and Faith Church Legacy Foundation.
Whaley completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
