North Salem State Bank’s Commitment to the Community group volunteered and raised money for the Boone County Cancer Society during its annual Battle of the BBQ event and You’re Not Alone 5K on Aug. 9. Bankers helped guide runners and walkers along the 5K course in the morning, then served up snow cones and cotton candy at the barbeque that evening. A bank employee, Nikki Hollingsworth, is the Boone County Cancer Society’s board president.
