North Salem State Bank donated $250,000 to the Hendricks County Community Foundation on Dec. 4, 2025, in support of the Foundation’s Stronger Together: Building a Better Community campaign.
The donation, together with a 2:1 match from the Lilly Endowment, establishes the North Salem State Bank Heritage Fund, a permanent resource dedicated to supporting and educating the next generation of farmers and agriculture business leaders for generations to come.
The overall campaign aims to raise $1.5 million to fully leverage the $3 million matching grant from Lilly, establishing a permanent $4.5 million endowment of unrestricted funds to help address the county’s most pressing and evolving needs.
