Generations Community Bank, Indianapolis, cut the ribbon on its second-ever banking center July 30. The branch housed inside the Arthur R. Baxter YMCA at 7900 Shelby St. on the south side of Indianapolis opened for business June 1.
The grand opening in July was attended by several community dignitaries, including:
- Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett;
- Gregg Hiland, YMCA of Greater Indianapolis president and CEO;
- Peter Aung, Chin Community of Indiana board secretary;
- Angela Vandersteen, Aspire Johnson County vice president-investor development and relations; and
- Alderick “Al” London, bank president and CEO
Clients, YMCA members, community partners and southside residents were invited to tour the new banking center, which provides in-person personal and business banking support, including assistance with deposit accounts, lending needs, digital banking services and financial education resources.
