Amy Varga has been promoted to market president, senior vice president of the Michiana market of Centier Bank, Merrillville. She has more than 20 years of experience in commercial banking, with half of that at Centier.

Varga is responsible for driving overall performance plus coaching and developing Centier’s commercial banking team while shaping strategy for growth in Michiana.

Over the course of her career, she has built and managed a significant commercial portfolio while maintaining strong asset quality and long-term client relationships. Varga brings a deep understanding of both commercial real estate and operating company lending to support her team across a wide range of deal structures and client needs.

“Amy is well-deserving of this promotion, and her approach of collaboration, accountability and mentorship aligns well with our Michiana region,” said Len Amat, Centier’s senior vice president, head of community banking. “Amy’s strong ties to the community and existing relationships across the market further position her to drive growth, strengthen partnerships, and expand Centier’s presence in the region.”

A graduate of Indiana University, Varga remains actively engaged in leadership development in the community, including participation in Leadership South Bend/Mishawaka and the Leadership Academy in Elkhart County. In 2019, she was recognized as a Michiana Forty Under 40 recipient. Varga served as chair of Child and Parent Services, is a current board member of the Revolving Loan Fund for the City of South Bend, and is a planning committee member for the Over the Edge initiative within the Youth Service Bureau.
