Zach Hockersmith has been promoted to executive vice president, chief financial officer of Hoosier Heartland State Bank, Crawfordsville, and appointed to the bank’s board of directors.
He joined the bank in 2010 after graduating from Indiana Wesleyan University, serving in a number of key roles including loan officer; branch manager; assistant vice president-retail; vice president, controller; and, since 2021, chief financial officer.
“Zach has been an integral part of our leadership team and our bank’s continued growth,” said Brad Monts, the bank’s president and CEO. “His leadership, financial expertise, and commitment to our mission and values make him exceptionally well suited for this expanded role. As an employee-owned bank, we are proud to see leaders like Zach grow within our organization, and we look forward to the insight and perspective he will bring to our Board of Directors.”
“HHSB is a special place to be because of how well our team takes care of people and how that culture has been sustained for so many years,” Hockersmith said. “I’m grateful to be part of an organization that is so committed to its customers, employees and community.”
Hockersmith is the current vice president of the IBA Future Leadership Division’s Advisory Board and serves on the boards of the Montgomery County Medical Care Trust and Montgomery County Community Foundation. He is also a part of MCCF Bridge Inc., where he helps support the Early Learning Center, and volunteers coaching Southmont youth football and baseball.
