Centier Bank, Merrillville, cut the ribbon on its relocated downtown Fort Wayne branch on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024.

The 13,500-square-foot branch at 127 W. Berry St. represents the largest interior renovation in the bank’s 129-year history, with design work done in collaboration with IBA associate member Design Collaborative, which is headquartered in Fort Wayne.

Located in the newly renamed Centier Bank Building, existing architectural and interior design elements were left intact, including the lobby’s limestone details, ornate ceilings and trim, and impressive columns. New to the banking center are re-envisioned hospitality and reception areas, expanded office space, additional teller stations, upgraded lighting and a self-service coin machine.

As part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the bank donated $2,500 each to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne and Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana.
